Delete your account
Last updated 22 September 2026
This is a beta release (version 0.1.0).
SCOLVYA is still being tested with a small number of schools. That means:
- Screens and features will change, sometimes without notice.
- Some things are not finished. Where a figure or a document matters — a fee receipt, a transfer certificate, a board return — check it against your own records before relying on it.
- Test data may be cleared while a school is still being set up. Your school will be told before anything of theirs is removed.
- If something looks wrong, tell your school office. Everything below still applies to how your information is handled.
Your Scolvya account was created by your school, and the records it holds belong to the school. So deleting it is a request to your school's administrator, who confirms it and carries it out. You can ask from the Android app (Account & privacy → Delete my account), or on this page.
What is deleted
When the school approves the request:
- the account is closed and can no longer sign in, on the web or in the app;
- every device signed in to it is signed out;
- its email address, mobile number and profile photo are erased from the account;
- its password and two-step sign-in are erased;
- its app notification registrations are removed, so the phone receives nothing further.
What is kept, and why
The school must keep some records even after your account is closed:
- Fee invoices, receipts and payments — accounting and tax law requires them; they are kept for up to 8 years.
- Attendance, marks, report cards and certificates — the pupil's academic record, which the school must be able to reproduce.
- The audit trail of changes made with the account, which protects everyone against disputed or fraudulent changes.
- Your name as it appears on those records, so that they still make sense.
The school's own pupil and guardian records — for example the contact details on an admission form — are not part of the account. To have those corrected or removed, ask the school office.
Request deletion without signing in
Enter the email address or mobile number you use to sign in, and your school code. For your privacy this page gives the same reply whether or not an account matches.
What happens next
- Your school's administrator sees the request and may contact you to confirm it is really you.
- They approve it — and the account is deleted as described above — or decline it with a reason.
- If you hear nothing within 30 days, contact your school, or write to privacy@scolvya.com with your school's name.
