Terms of use
Last updated 22 September 2026
This is a beta release (version 0.1.0).
SCOLVYA is still being tested with a small number of schools. That means:
- Screens and features will change, sometimes without notice.
- Some things are not finished. Where a figure or a document matters — a fee receipt, a transfer certificate, a board return — check it against your own records before relying on it.
- Test data may be cleared while a school is still being set up. Your school will be told before anything of theirs is removed.
- If something looks wrong, tell your school office. Everything below still applies to how your information is handled.
These terms apply when you use the Scolvya website or Android app with an account your school gave you. Scolvya is operated by Scolvya. Your school's own rules, and its agreement with us, also apply.
1. Your account
- Accounts are created by your school. You may use yours only for your own dealings with the school — as a parent or guardian, a pupil, or a member of staff.
- Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and use “Sign out of all devices”, and tell the school.
- The school can change what your account can see, suspend it, or close it — for example when a pupil leaves or a member of staff moves on.
2. Acceptable use
You must not:
- try to see records that are not yours or your child's, or that your role does not cover;
- share another person's information you see in Scolvya outside the purpose it was given for;
- send abusive, unlawful or misleading messages through the service;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or use automated tools against it.
If you find a security problem, please report it to privacy@scolvya.com instead of testing it further.
3. The school's records
Attendance, marks, fees and other records are entered and maintained by your school. If something looks wrong, contact the school; it is the school that can correct it. What Scolvya shows is only as accurate as what has been entered.
4. Fee payments
- Fee amounts, due dates, late fees and refunds are set by your school.
- Online payments are processed by the payment gateway the school uses (Razorpay or PayU) on the gateway's own page, under the gateway's terms. Scolvya records the result and issues the receipt.
- If a payment was taken from your account but no receipt appears, keep the gateway or bank reference and contact the school; the payment is matched to your invoice when the gateway confirms it.
5. Privacy
How personal data is handled is explained in the privacy policy. You can ask for your account to be deleted at /account-deletion or from the app.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Scolvya available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted — for maintenance, a network problem, or a fault. Features may change as the service develops. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.
7. Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Scolvya is not responsible for losses caused by records a school entered incorrectly, by a payment gateway or messaging provider, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer or data protection law.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
9. Contact
Questions about your records or account: your school. Questions about these terms or your personal data: privacy@scolvya.com.
